Democrats’ disastrous week highlights Trump’s sanity (plays to win with bold SOTU address)

If you are of the mind that Pres Trump is to blame for everything wrong in politics, then last week was a very bad week for you. The evidence begins with Trump’s very good SOTU speech....he was alternately conciliatory toward Democrats and ruthless in contrasting policies.

Reckless in rhetoric and resistance, Dems make themselves vulnerable to charges that they support open borders, socialism and infanticide. It doesn’t help that a lasting image of the SOTU speech was the women-in-white brigade scowling throughout, rising enthusiastically only to celebrate the president’s recognition of them.

For more proof, consider the spectacles Dems created......in Virginia, where the governor, lieutenant governor and attorney general — all Democrats — spent the week ducking calls to resign. Hypocrisy ran wild, with the AG among the first to call for the governor to quit over a blackface scandal, then being forced to admit he was guilty of the same offense as a teenager.

Meanwhile, Lt Gov Fairfax was rocked by two sexual-assault allegations, with both women publicly identifying themselves and telling their stories. Given the left’s casual use of the words “racist” and “rapist” to describe Trump, leftists everywhere felt heat to sacrifice the three Virginia officials, lest they forfeit the right to weaponize those words again.

There's a problem with such purity.....a Republican, the House of Delegates' Speaker, would become governor. Confident that partisanship would prevail over principle, all three misbehaving Dems were refusing to go. The other complication: the lieutenant gov is black.......so how would it look if he had to resign, and two white men who wore blackface kept their jobs? Live by identity politics, die.....

30% of the Democrats who watched the SOTU liked it. When 5% will swing the vote one way or the other, 30% is not something to sneeze at.

If only they could take it to the voting booths....they do something our side can not bring itself to do - they circle the wagons and support their side when the actual battle is raging.

I think if the left keeps up their socialist-commie tirades we will see an exit befitting one like Reagan's 1984 landslide.

That is why we should not do anything to stop them from verbally hanging themselves with their own rope.

Neither the 1980 or 1984 maps get old - great to see. What we didn’t see if we remember back to that time, was what demon-rats were pulling their hair out, crying in the streets, giving hate filled speeches, celebrities in Hollywood ready to commit hari kari, attacks on the president each time he appeared or spoke OR the losers (Carter and Mondale) refusing to leave the stage? Was a wonderful time for the whole country. Today? WOW - what a difference! The demon-rats sure see things different from the rest of us...

My liberal brother and a couple of former co-workers that I keep in touch with are starting to see the reality of TDS. They’re beginning to wonder about the insane hypocrisy of the Democrats and no longer view President Trump as Hitler.

Baby steps.

FWIW, I’m shocked that they would start to notice how far left the Dems have become. All 3 have admitted either in their social media accounts or to me personally that almost all news organizations are blatantly biased against the POTUS. One co-worker is still in shock over the late term abortion horror and infanticide “choice” that is being pushed by the Democrats.

One thing that happened after the 1984 election, the lamestream media changed the major colors for both the parties. Republicans used to be blue and the dems were red. By the next election I was looking at the TV screen wondering what looked weird. They had switched the colors. Yeah, Reagan has been Blue state and the RNC was now Red state.

I think they did it because they thought Reagan had mesmerized the nation with the color blue. Yeah, as if his words and ideas alone were not responsible for his massive 2 time complete blowout wins.
