Pro pearl clutcher here... The TSA workers calling in sick and screwing up airline traffic is what caused Trump to back off. The American public blamed him for the shutdown and Republicans in Congress were getting the vapors over complaints from constituents. It won’t go well for Trump if it happens again. Most government employees would love to sabotage everything Trump tries to do.

The TSA workers calling in sick and screwing up airline traffic ATC not TSA. The TSA was slowing down too, but the ATC was the final straw.
