I remember reading a quote from a Swede in the 1990s in an article in National Geographic, back before I kicked them to the curb for being insufferable Leftists.
The Swede said something like, “We’re more Socialist then you, but we’ve seen the problem and have reversed direction. You’re still moving down that road full speed.”
True, and unless voters wise up (slim chance of that) we'll end up in a "Utopian" mess.
I visited Norway a couple of years ago and was met with many "holier than thou" comments from Norwegians about how environmentally pure they are compared to the U.S. It's true -- Norway is a beautiful and "environmentally-correct" country. But its cradle-to-grave socialism and clean environment are only made possible by its North Sea oil that is exported around the world to create the CO2 menace preached by the Gorites. Its socialism depends on world oil prices and the hope the oil wells keep producing. Total hypocrisy.
