Sweden taxes individuals heavenly but has very low corporate taxes.
The government returns a lot of this money in the form of services to the individuals, such as health care, education, retirement, welfare etc. It’s a policy that assumes people are generally irresponsible and waste their money on frivolous things, so the government takes a big chunk and provides the basic, important things to all the people.
Meanwhile, the corporations, the goose that lays the Golden eggs, are treated well.
Not necessarily a bad system.
I think it is a horrible system, what in the world would make ANYONE want to work harder to be very successful when the government takes most of what you make!! Working more hours or harder than others doesnt get you better health care, or a better education you get the same give outs as all other citizens BUT of course the more money you make the more money they take to care for other citizens that dont work at all!!!
