She forgets that the Democrats would need a lot of Republicans in the Senate to join them to convict Trump (on whatever nonsense charges the House impeaches him on--causing Northam to put on blackface? causing the polar vortex? causing the referee blunder that cost the Saints a trip to the Super Bowl?), and that has gotten a lot harder now that McCain, Flake, and Corker are no longer in the Senate.
Congress doesn't need a criminal charge to remove a person from office, but prosecutors presumably need some criminal violation to prosecute. Anyway, the trial system moves too slowly for Trump to be removed from office, subjected to a kangaroo court, and sent to prison before November 2020.
So it's just another Democrat fantasy.
I know that the 2018 midterms showed us that the Dem’s wall-to-wall smear of President Trump had some effect on House candidates. The electorate swallowed the guilt-by-association stigmatation of Trump. The DemonRATs will double down on this tactic by doing a multi candidate blitz throughout the country. Everywhere the electorate will hear a well choreographed narrative against Trump to continue the guilt-by-association tactic. It will be often and intense. That’s is why there is the multi-candidate effort.
Dem candidates know that even if they lose, they can pocket a pile of money with money shell games.
Based on the Independent approval of Trump’s SOTU speech, I don’t think they are going to be breaking for a Dem in two years.
