It would be nice if President Trump came out and announced today that if we go into another shutdown there will be no back pay for furloughed workers as the Dems refuse to negotiate in an honest manner.

And what does that get the President?

I believe we are both aware it would never happen but the thought of the whiplash the Democrats would endure would be priceless.
