Immigrants from Honduras and Nepal have filed a lawsuit alleging the Trump administration unfairly ended a program that lets them live and work in the United States.
The lawsuit filed late Sunday in federal court in San Francisco alleges that the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's decision to end so-called temporary protected status for the countries was motivated by racism.
The suit - which was filed on behalf of six immigrants and two of their American-born children - also alleges that the department changed how it evaluated conditions in these countries when determining whether immigrants could return there.
"We bring evidence the Trump administration has repeatedly denigrated non-white non-European immigrants and reviewed TPS designations with a goal of removing such non-white non-European immigrants from the United States," said Minju Cho, a staff attorney at Asian Americans Advancing Justice in Los Angeles.
The group is one of several representing the immigrant plaintiffs, who live California, Minnesota, Maryland, Virginia and Connecticut.

My gawd, I couldn’t get standing in my local court case as THE principal of my LLC! And these people have “standing” of any kind? Something’s really effed up.
We should never have given anyone the “right” to live in our country just because there was a storm or other disaster in their country. “Temporary” should be no more than a year, no excuses to go back home.
Who do I sue to be able to live free unchained from the unconstitutional tyranny of Fedzilla?

census. Monitor census returns from that
group. Subtract their numbers from the
states representation. The states lose
electoral votes and government subsidies.
If the invaders lie on their census
forms, they will face hefty fines, and
ICE can zero in on their local.
One of the qualifications for TPS is that
illegal aliens refrain from committing
major crimes.

O was such a hero, when he just kicked the cans down the road. When will people figure out Congress needs to address these issues? The last several presidents of both parties have asked Congress to work on immigration laws, they refuse to do it. Don’t want to put their votes where their mouths are.
