The Bronze Horde doesn’t want to “take back the land”; they did, they’d just be jumping a fence from California to get into Oregon or another “American” place.
They just want to be provided for in perpetuity like American Indians - and we’re doing just that.

Actually, I think they are too squeamish to commit suicide themselves, so they want to get their neighbors to commit suicide, which they see as equally virtuous.
That's why I call it "suicide by proxy," similar to Munchausen's syndrome by proxy.
