I am 75 years old. I remember LBJ’s War on Poverty quite well. I also remember Moynihan’s 1965 report, The Negro Family: The Case for National Action, that provided the disclosure that the Negro out of wedlock birth rate was a horrifying 25%!!!

The welfare state has made things far worse along with other factors such as an education system that fails to inculcate moral values, a decline of religion coupled with a rise in atheism, and the loss of shame in a society that tolerates immorality. This is not just an American problem. It exists throughout the Western world, which is in decline.
