There are a number of reasons for a company to post jobs... hiring may not be one of them.
The guy who has a Help Wanted sign on the door is one thing. He has a legitimate need.
In the booming Tech field, I’ve seen jobs posted for 5 continuous years. Any job posted for more than a year is a non-job.
The “staffing firms” are many times posting the same job. I’ve seen an 11 to 1 posting ratio on the job boards where multiple firms are chasing the same opening. How is Fedzilla counting this type of opening. One job or eleven?
In many cases, there is so much inflexibility in what candidates will put up with & employers demand, I’m amazed anyone gets hired.
I’d bet the real number of job openings is 10 percent of what is actually posted.
I have a Full Time Job,I applied for a part time job, looks like I will get hired,
Work,work,work.
Many companies are only collecting resumes for later use.
