Every once in a while I’m surprised by the passing of some famous or infamous person in the 90-100+ age range. Surprised because I wouldn’t have guessed that they were still alive. This is one of those times.
There was a WW2 German U-Boat commander alive until last year. He was 105 years old when he passed. His name was Reinhard Hardegen. There is one Doolittle Raider left. Fittingly, he was General Doolittle Co-pilot.
