Why wouldn’t you shoot someone busting down your door? They really need to rethink allowing “No Knock” raids.
They should only do it if the suspect is in fact dangerous. If they do it just because it’s fun to kick in doors and they don’t anticipate any danger, complacency sets in.

“But, they were cops, and announced they were cops.” = Standard excuse (reason) for charging murder. Like, no real home invader would be allowed to yell “police, open up”. i.e., When you hear the word “we’re police”, you must stand down and permit entry because you’re being guaranteed the folks wanting to come in are really cops./sarc
What’s an armed homeowner supposed to do, give it up to anyone who yells they are the police? Like there is some law that says shooting someone breaking into your home who claims to be the police, is murder?
