There really needs to be a mandatory course, taught early in college if not in high school, about how to punch one's way out of a paper bag.

There is no conspiracy to keep women of color from designing clothes, modelling, publishing fashion magazines, etc. In fact, I'm pretty sure women of color do all of these things.

The companies are chasing their perceived customer base. Nothing more, nothing less. If this gal thinks some market segment is being underserved, go out and serve it. She should see it as a business opportunity, not as grounds for complaint.

But she's been indoctrinated. She would probably be more comfortable with a government agency regulating all advertising and enforcing ethnic quotas in every niche than in working out solutions in a free market.
