Dershowitz: FBI Attempted “Coup d’état ” in Discussing 25th Amendment To Remove Trump
The New American ^ | 15 February 2019 | R. Cort Kirkwood

The former deputy director of the FBI participated in discussions to stage a coup d’état to remove President Trump from office, leftist law professor Alan Dershowitz said last night.

Dershowitz leveled the charge after Andrew McCabe, the disgraced former G-man, surfaced in a preview of an interview on CBS’s 60 Minutes, during which he admitted that he and his colleagues discussed using the 25th Amendment to bring down Trump.

The amendment governs removing the president from office for reason of incapacity.

McCabe and his putative co-conspirators discussed the plan just after Trump fired FBI Director James Comey in May 2017.

Mr. McCabe and his former colleagues kept contemporaneous memos on their interactions with Mr. Trump and Justice Department officials.

According to one of those memos written by Mr. McCabe, an excerpt from which was provided to The Times, “We discussed the president’s capacity and the possibility he could be removed from office under the 25th Amendment,” and the deputy attorney general indicated that he looked into the issue and determined he would need a “majority or eight of the 15 cabinet officials.” Mr. McCabe added that Mr. Rosenstein suggested that he might have supporters in the attorney general and the secretary of homeland security.

There is a chess game going on behind closed doors in this moment.

Pray our brilliant President prevails and our Republic survives this treason

Dershovitz has shown himself on a number of occasions to be basically an honest commentator, willing to defend American constitutional principles even when they help or protect PDJT

I still don’t care for much of Alan’s (mostly left-leaning) political tendencies, but when he’s honest like this... I applaud him for his integrity... and willingness to speak up (and yes, he is taking a lot of krap from some of the commie-leftist brigades).....

good show, Mr. Dershovitz! Keep it up...

I love how brilliant McCabe “looked into” the 25th amendment and basically found out what is required by reading it.

Try every one involved for treason and imprison them.

And nothing will happen to these co-conspirators because the deep state wants to keep controlling us.

McCabe was concerned he would get the pink slip too, that Trump had won the election with Russian assistance, and thus he had to protect the “collusion” probe.

He knew that he could be fired for exactly the same reason that Comey was. It was not about collusion with Russians. It was not about protecting the collusion probe. It was about getting rid of a president which they hated and didn't expect would win the presidency. McCabe knew from the beginning, just like all of the other co-conspirators, that the collusion charges were completely fabricated.

He needs to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law, along with all the other co-conspirators and all the other people who fabricated the anti-Trump dossier, including Hillary and Obama and the whole Obama administration. They should all be wearing prison suits for the rest of their lives, while some of the worst, like McCabe, should receive capital punishment for treason and sedition.

They are domestic enemies waging war(A coup. Actually multiple coups—the mueller coup is still on going) on a duly elected President of the United States. A war against America and the Constitution.

There is no higher form of treason.

I noticed Mueller is coming down on Roger Stone with all four feet.

It is a pity that Stone did not participate in a coup d’etat against Trump; that would have inoculated him from Mueller’s notice completely.

heard mentions it applies to mental incapacity.

that explains all those suggestions by the FakeNewsMSM and their DeepState guests that President Trump is mentally ill.

they’ve been preparing for this moment.

time to arrest the coup-plotters.

The FBI attempted a “coup d’état” long before they discussed the 25th Amendment. The plot involved the Justice Department, the CIA, the FBI and the NSA. Lynch, Yates, Comey, McCabe, Brennan and Clapper should have been arrested Day 1 of the Trump Administration. Swamp creature Sessions was the long shot insurance that paid off. Trump probably never thought he would actually win, knew not how to wield power when he took office and still is learning how to manipulate the levers of power. When he finally learns, it may be too late.

It’s obvious to anyone with common sense and a whiff of objectivity that the whole thing was political, and thus, effectively a non-violent coup.

The problem is that the politically biased and brain dead consumers of the nightly news neither want to hear it, nor do they actually ever... well... hear it.

... and when they actually do hear it from someone like Dershowitz, they think he is the problem, not what he is telling them about.

Flip the script on party designations and you’d have riots in the F’n streets.

It simply amazes me how patient and lenient our side is.
I think it’s mostly because we are all invested and eternally hopeful for our country’s future. The other side is full of hate and a wish for chaos

Nope. The “problem” is there is no opposition party to the Mueller Coup. The GOP gives aid and comfort to it.

Had POTUS had a party supporting him Rosendirtbag would been terminated the moment his conflicts of interest and possible criminal conduct in the FISA warrant process was known. Then his replacement would have been fast tracked through confirmation and the whole episode would be over. Instead, we have a GOP only interested in obstructing and undermining President Trump. We see the results of their efforts in the latest stinking pile of garbage bill to land on Trump’s desk.

“Welcome to the party, pal”

Feel free to credit FR for screaming about the Coup since Inauguration Day -

Was Barr brought in to give the indictments, prosecutions and lethal injections credibility? Cuz we know Sleepy Jeff Sessions wouldn’t have done a damn thing.
