The danger to America is not politicians like Gillibrand, but a citizenry capable of entrusting people like her with power.
It will be far easier to limit and undo the follies of someone like Gillibrand than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have such a person (God forbid) for their president.
The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Ms. Gillibrand, who is a mere symptom of what ails America.
The republic can survive a President Gillibrand ( again, God forbid), who is, after all, merely a fool. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools, such as those who would make her president.
She’s voted in because Republicans aren’t cool!
To a majority of NY voters:
1. Republicans are their Dad not handing out bottles of whiskey & the car keys!
2. Republicans are their Dad saying no you can’t go to that concert!
3. Republicans are their Dad telling them to turn the radio down & do their homework!
Republicans represent boring uncool responsible behavior. Rats are the “Bad Boys (Girls)” they want to date or hang out with!
What percentage of NY State now are takers or pay little to no taxes? They perceive her as their personal “horn-of-plenty”, their own personal “all-day” straw into the national treasury.
