With Ford coming out and admitting he falsified part of the magic bullet information, it’s hard not to doubt government. That’s part of the damage created by the assassination. I guess you could look a it as an eye opener, which would be good, but it’s all bad to me.

As for Johnson interfering, I’m not sure he had to exert much pressure. Congress was unhinged in it’s looks at the information. Some of it was just unhinged.

As for Oswald, he had been in Russia. He could easily have been used to foster an international incident. It would have been something like the collusion case now. The real culprits in the U. S. slinking away, while the public was misdirected to look at a Russian connection. Luckily, that ploy wasn’t adopted.

I agree that Oswald was involved. I don’t think there’s much doubt about that. I don’t think he knew everything that was going down though.

From the way Kennedy’s head reacted to the head-shot, I have always thought he was shot directly from behind. That shot may have been accomplished by Oswald, but I was always curious if there wasn’t another shooter behind the limo (line of sight wise).

As for Connally and the magic bullet, I think they were making it up as they went there. Ford pretty much let that out of the bag with his confession. Imagine him confessing to doing that. Good grief. It was almost as if he was proud of falsifying the data.

You know, during this big events, a lot of information gets aired. I don’t deny there could have been a parking lot shooter (grassy knoll). I don’t deny there could have been others. I just don’t know...

I’ve pretty much accepted we’ll never know.

It’s a shame too, because an event this big and important needs to be aired.

As for Oswald being a patsy, I think he may have been a visible person they used to draw attention from others. I’m not sold on that either, but it was a well known plot strategy used in some of the popular media movies of the day.

You can blackmail a couple of guys who think they are acting alone, and then put some experienced people in there too to make sure things happen...

At any rate, thanks for the comments.

Thanks for yours too. Hollywood could not have invented a mystery figure as perfectly as Oswald. You could tie him into Russia, Cuba, CIA and Mafia plots thereby allowing all of them to point the finger elsewhere.

But he was also a loser that nobody trusted.

Oswald’s brother Robert told a story that I think demonstrated Oswald’s inflated ego. People marveled at how Oswald was able to get clearance to return from Russia (with Russian wife en tow) when it was insanely difficult for many others to get approved entrance to the U.S. from countries behind the Iron Curtain.

The Soviets said later they simply wanted to be rid of him.

Neither U.S. intelligence or the media was the least bit curious when he arrived in New York either. Robert said when he met Lee that Lee was absolutely stunned that there wasn’t media there to ask him questions and no intelligence agents to debrief him. He seemed to have an entire statement rehearsed but there was no audience to receive him.

Lee believed he was somebody important and that it deflated his ego that nobody cared about him. He was intent on being important.

That’s supposedly why he tried to assassinate Maj. Walker in the spring of 1963 but he missed his target and hit a window frame. Marina says he came back sweating profusely and behaving like the cops would bust down his door at any moment. Again, nobody showed up.

I just don’t see any group thinking “Let’s use this guy to assassinate Kennedy” but I do think any group that wanted Kennedy dead may have helped him get into position and then had their own shooters standing by to finish the job.
