Multiple sources have told ABC7 in Chicago that police are investigating whether the attack on “Empire” TV star Jussie Smollett was staged.
Though a Chicago Police Department spokesperson said that claim is “unconfirmed,” two suspects have been arrested who were reportedly close with Smollett — appearing on the set of “Empire” with Smollett as well as recently working out at a gym with the openly-gay, African American star who claims that two men attacked him and screamed, “This is MAGA country!”
If the attack turns out to have been staged, it will be the biggest racially-motivated hoax since the Tawana Brawley case in the late 1980s.
A Fox Nation documentary titled, “Scandalous: The Mysterious Case of Tawana Brawley” chronicled an alleged racially-motivated attack against an African-American teen in New York in 1987. The teen claimed that she had been raped by a group of white men and was left with “racial slurs” scrawled all over her body. Brawley showed up at an emergency room with text written on her body including the words “KKK,” “n**ger” and “b**ch.”

Brawley was a dumb kid, who was used as a political prop by race hustlers.
Smollett did this all by himself or was a willing participant in the farce. Only redeeming thing about him, is that people’s lives haven’t been ruined in the process since the “alleged perps” were paid actors and black.
I’d love to see them sue Smollett and all involved.

He was held accountable. A court ordered him to pay $4 million. He just didn’t do it. He was never held accountable for not paying.
Crown Heights was never resolved because they couldn’t figure out who had the best victim status. This issue still hasn’t been resolved.
There is enough real hate in the world without creating false stories for left wingers and the media. According to Wikipedia Smollett is biracial. He has several siblings, none of which to my knowledge have spoken out regarding the so called hate crime. Shame on Smollett. He needs to go to jail for reporting a false crime.

I’d say “no” to this because cops now are much more suspect of people claiming racial crimes. Also, in the Brawley case there were people who lost jobs and had their careers destroyed. The only person going down, I suspect, is Jussi and possibly the two dumb Africans who went along with him.
Much as I despise the rise of social media it would have spared me almost a year of Fat Al Sharpton. Her story wouldn’t have survived a week today.
