A Most Unwelcome Leader
The Word with Steve ^ | August 21, 2018 | Steve Scmutzer

You have to admit – it’s a fantastic story. Against all odds, a well-known polarizing figure gains the leadership of an entire nation – the world’s number one superpower. But he’s an outsider. He’s not one of the establishment folk, and his path to power was an unconventional one. Not everyone is happy about this – especially the members of the ruling class. This new guy’s a legitimate threat to their self-serving agenda, and his early successes force them to rethink what they most want to believe about themselves. While the new leader gained his position through proper process, plenty of people think he’s illegitimate. They feel sorry for themselves, and they lick their wounds daily. Right away, the new guy gets the job done well – certainly better than those around him are doing. He’s got that touch, that “git-‘er-done” reliability. He’s the classic “what-you-see-is-what-you-get” kind of leader, and he holds people accountable to their responsibilities. He’s good on his word too, and he doesn’t play political games. He’s respected by those who matter most, and he gets more powerful with each decision he makes.

My oldest friend and his wife, who always proudly declared themselves “independent” and voted for Nader and any other “green” candidate, came out in 2016 and went unashamedly hard left, complete with non-stop hatred, mostly hers, which also properly defines him.

When you have a nation that is indoctrinated, not educated, there arises a cult of personality. The American electorate doesn’t want someone capable as president, they want someone they can admire and identify with.

President Trump has some rough edges, and has made some mistakes. As a thinking adult, I accept President Trump’s shortcomings, and appreciate his capabilities.

The cult of personality can’t accept President Trump because he’s not cool, he’s not smooth, he’s not the figurehead they want. They loved Obama, ignoring that he was not the brightest bulb, and certainly anti-American.

They were probably always that way. Trump just brought it out of them. The corrupt tolerate each other much better than they do an honest person.

The hatred is a bit more specialized than you suggest. It is pure evil, not idiosyncratic preference.

Consider: What Drives The Trump Haters

Tell her that Justin Fairfax wants to see her in his hotel room.

And give her a toothbrush... ;-)

I always assumed the Obama-loving losers worshiped him because he was anti-American. That was his best trait (other than diversity), not a flaw they ignored.

BUMP! What an excellent article. Thank you Mr. Schmutzer for the new tag line.

Let us all pray daily for President Trump, his advisers and his family.
