The closet of the Roman Catholic Church hinges on an impossible contradiction. For years, church leaders have driven gay congregants away in shame and insisted that “homosexual tendencies” are “disordered.” And yet, thousands of the church’s priests are gay.
The stories of gay priests are unspoken, veiled from the outside world, known only to one another, if they are known at all.
Fewer than about 10 priests in the United States have dared to come out publicly. But gay men probably make up at least 30 to 40 percent of the American Catholic clergy, according to dozens of estimates from gay priests themselves and researchers. Some priests say the number is closer to 75 percent. One priest in Wisconsin said he assumed every priest was gay unless he knows for a fact he is not. A priest in Florida put it this way: “A third are gay, a third are straight and a third don’t know what the hell they are.”

So, how do they then know that thousands of priests are gay?
The Left gets away with this way too often. Remember Mitch Snyder who used to claim to represent the homeless and wildly exaggerated how many homeless there were?
And Planned Parenthood making claims about rampant back-alley abortion deaths which they later admitted making up?
The media just spews all of this without the least bit of fact-checking or even doing the math to determine if the number is plausible. Leftist says it, must be true. Conservative says it, "where are your facts?".
And 1/3d of the Angelic Host fell with Satan.

Sorry, but gays have managed to ruin everything they touch. I really do not care what they do in the bedroom, but I really wish they would realize that the rest of us wish them no ill, we just do not care about their sex lives.

I do not believe there are THOUSANDS of Gay Priests!
If the guy is chaste and celibate --- not one who prances, romances and takes his chances --- nobody want to know what his "sexuality" is all about.

And if he is NOT chaste, then I don't care if he's gay, straight, or cute in a tutu, he should GET OUT.

The Church decided that homosexuals were all right in the priesthood because the priesthood is celibate and one’s orientation is irrelevant if one doesn’t do anything about it. But the doctrine of old is that homosexuality is a disordered state. Disordered. There was more than one reason for that.It is disordered in nature, even Darwinian atheist nature. Restraint cannot be built on disorder. Homosexuals have contravened a basic arrangement of the natural order. They are already tainted. Might as well be hung for a dozen crimes as for one.
