I guess that explains why they didn't take notes when they were investigating Hillary. They "trusted" the target of the investigation.
Don't forget that McCain was head of the Foreign Affairs committee (or whatever it's called). He had access to a whole lot of info he could twist to meet his own agenda.

I think he leaked to the Morning Joe crew because they were all over the 25th Amendment coup. They discussed that it was being considered to bring Trump down.

McCain was the one tasked to bring the dossier to the FBI, so it didn’t appear to come from the Democrats. Of course he was in on it.

Same moment James Comey is being fired, McCabe is being interviewed by INSD regarding media leaks that occurred in an Oct. 30, 2016, Wall Street Journal article, “FBI in Internal Feud Over Hillary Clinton Probe,” by Devlin Barrett. Two agents from the FBI’s inspection division, expanding an existing investigation of media leaks, had decided to interview the deputy director about the Oct. 30 Wall Street Journal story because it appeared to show someone had improperly revealed McCabe’s private conversation with a Justice Department official.
All McCain had to do if she was sincere was look at Horowitz 2018 report and see this excerpt:
'"We also found that on May 9, 2017, when questioned under oath by FBI agents from INSD, McCabe lacked candor when he told the agents that he had not authorized the disclosure to the WSJ and did not know who did. This conduct violated FBI Offense Code 2.6 (Lack of Candor – Under Oath).

Mccabe opens up a "CRIMINAL investigation against the President of the USA, with the following statement from the New York Times . . . .
“Counterintelligence investigators had to consider whether the president’s own actions constituted a possible threat to national security. Agents also sought to determine whether Mr. Trump was knowingly working for Russia or had unwittingly fallen under Moscow’s influence.”
In the next few days both McCabe and Trump would seal their fate with unforced errors.
McCabe would tell congress that he (McCabe) saw no evidence of obstruction from President Trump or his administration. HE DID NOT LIE! The investigation is NOT about obstruction rather a CRIMINAL investigation (see Lisa Page's testimony one year later). The public still has not been told anything about it, thus why things don't make sense in general terms.
Trump made an stupid error when he was interviewed by Lester Holt two days later and say the Russia investigation was one of the reasons he fired Comey. That subject was NOT in the memorandum and he was gaining support for his actions in firing Comey, then he says that comment and the rest is history.

Apparently the handlers were erroneously told Megan had the day off to attend a Jenny Craig meeting.

Nice little bit of theatre and sleight of hand, asking bluntly about leaking to the New York Times when the problem was with the Wall Street Journal. Wouldn’t be surprised if McCabe’s show prep had something to do with throwing that one in there, it lets Meghan McCain sound “tough” while giving him an opportunity to vehemently deny leaking. Well, he didn’t leak to the NYT and was never accused of such. It was the WSJ.
Her worthless dad is the one that proffered the “dossier” up to the press, she’s trying to vaccinate herself.
