Not really. He denied that he "leaked" to the NY Times.
His story is that Comey approved the information he gave surreptitiously to the NYTimes, so it wasn't a leak.
Comey denies he gave him information to complete the cycle, and in their minds the NY Times gets the information and both of them can claim they didn't leak it.
I think he leaked to the Morning Joe crew because they were all over the 25th Amendment coup. They discussed that it was being considered to bring Trump down.
