Former CNN host and current DailyMail.com editor at large Piers Morgan weighed in on the Jussie Smollett case while appearing Thursday on “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” attributing what's happened to "Trump derangement syndrome" and "victimhood culture."
“Well it was the perfect storm, wasn’t it?” Morgan told Carlson. “This is where the ‘victimhood culture’ that you so brilliantly articulated there meets Trump derangement syndrome, this disease which has afflicted so many particularly liberal celebrities.”

How long until DNC players are implicated in green-lighting the staged event? This had command and control. Texts, emails, phone records, and financing should prove to be interesting. This moron is scripted in every aspect of his persona. Think about it.

I often find Piers' comments to be better than media-average, as long as he stays away from the topic of firearms.
I agree Smollett is a moron but if someone else wrote the script for this whoever paid for it should get their money back.
The errors in this play are glaring and obvious.
A racist does not use a Windsor knot for a noose. Anyone who escapes a hanging does not where the rope home, nor does he hang on to his tuna sandwich while he is running a way.
In my opinion Smollett and his friend came up with this plan on the fly while high on something. I don’t think any person of average intelligence could come up with this while sober. Not to mention I doubt that they would consider the reward worth the risk.
When something like this happens I usually think somewhere in the planning someone said pass me another beer or give me another hit on that.

I would not disagree with that. Except to say that someone along the way assured Smollett that he would get away with it. As appears to be the case so far.
I would not doubt that someone told Smollett that he would get away with it. It has been my experience that Leftist seem to believe that the police as a general rule are stupid.
It is also my experience that people smoking dope have an inflated opinion of how smart they are. Also true of Leftist in general.

Some of the more moronic components:
- his story implicated two white men but he hired two blacks for the job. Maybe JS is color-blind ...
- claimed the attackers wore MAGA caps but while a red cap was found, it wasn’t a MAGA logo meaning that they were too cheap to buy the correct props for the event.
- JS paid the guys with a check! Who pays a hit man with a traceable financial instrument?
Naw, this whole event has all the trappings of the intelligence and real-life incompetence of the acting community.
