To: Pearls Before Swine

You need to catch up on the details of this situation. The aid has been sitting on the border for weeks, people are dying if starvation and the military is illegitimate, directed by an illegitimate ruler, condemned by all but 5 nations in the world including the pope. This is actually a crime against humanity by Maduro.

Sorry, unclear. Pope is among handful of supporters of Maduro. Maduro is condemned officially by USA, UK, Canada, civilized world. The aid is $53 million of food, supplies, medicine, from USA, France, etc.

I agree with all of that. I said two things: 1) I wondered if the atrocity occurred on Venezuelan or Brazilian soil. A cross-border action has certain international implications that an in-country repression doesn't. And, 2) These were brave people, in an impossible situation.
