Full title EXCLUSIVE: Disgraced FBI Officials Claimed Insurance Policy Text Was About Whether To Burn Longstanding Sources
Peter Strzok and Lisa Page told Congress that a text they exchanged referring to an insurance policy against a Trump presidency was a reference to a discussion about potentially burning a longtime FBI source in the event of an aggressive investigation of the Trump campaign.
Page described the unnamed source as sensitive and reliable. Strzok said the source was very sensitive.
Both told lawmakers that they and FBI officials were concerned that ramping up an investigation of the Trump campaign might expose the source and undercut future Russia-related investigations.

“Crossfire Hurricane”? the despicable FBI named it that in response to Trump’s rallies?

How is using a source, in itself, an insurance policy? It isn’t.
Supposedly a burn notice is issued by CIA (or DIA) or other agencies when an asset is a fabricator
Does that mean tell who it is?
Or get rid of them as with Lee Harvey Oswald?
Or simply never use them again?
Funny if it was Jeff Sessions or Jeb Bush.
Yeh right....
It’s a good thing those two are honest and trustworthy. I might be tempted to doubt this information if it had come from less honorable people...
Do I really need a sarc tag?
I’d think it was Cohen.
Bullcrap.
Insurance policy had nothing to do with “burning sources.”
The text was crystal clear. Let me remind everyone what he wrote.
“... there is no way he gets elected. But I’m afraid we can’t take that risk. It’s like an insurance policy in the unlikely event you die before you are 40.”
No way that was about burning sources if Trump investigated. That was about REMOVING Trump from office if he got elected. Or about neutralizing his ability to govern. No way it was about a source. Bull f’ing crap.
“beautiful wife” of deputy attorney general Bruce Ohr, Nellie Ohr,?
You’re right.
Nobody expects them to tell the truth about the insurance policy, but after all this time you would think they could come up with a better story.
This makes next to no sense at all.
Here’s a hint
A rabid anti-American might like this nonsensical story because it hinted that they wanted to get Trump but couldn't do it because, well you read what they said.
All the time they had to come up with a story and they come up with this???
They don’t have a combined IQ above room temperature!
Narrative #10,000.
There is nothing that has been reported this far to support this bogus story on the “insurance policy”.
Mueller report is being delayed until all the spin is out and played in the media for numerous news cycles.
Absolute Bullshit with a capital “B”.
Semantically, it makes no sense. Nor does it make strategic nor tactical sense.
Of course, this is pointing at some shiny object to deflect.
Whose cover were they going blow? Mifsud? The Brit head of MI6? Halper? Steele?
At the time those texts were sent, Page & Strzok were 100% convinced that whatever they could scare up in terms of trouble would be completely supported by the dossier. They NEVER thought there would be any examination of the FISA warrants. They didn’t think there would be any scrutiny of anything they did. Otherwise WHY ARE THEY SENDING SUCH GOOFBALL TEXTS on their gov’t cel phones? They are stupid enough to send their giggly texts on their cel phones. But so damn smart that they are calculating multiple steps ahead to ruin Trump after his nomination.
Bullshit. Flat out.
SESSIONS
I’ve thought all along that Jeff Sessions was the insurance policy.
“Its like an insurance policy in the unlikely event you die before you are 40.”
I have not yet understood the meaning of that statement. Seems to me that the hypothetical you wasted money on an insurance policy and you get nothing out of it. And you’re dead.
If someone could give me some better analogy for his statement, I would appreciate it.
