Just a couple of facts regarding the Emmett Till case:

1). Emmett Till was not killed because he whistled at a white woman. That’s the urban legend pushed by the NAACP. He was killed because he sexually assaulted a white woman by grabbing her ass and grinding on her. In Mississippi that behavior with a man”s wife will result in an ass kicking no matter what your race is.

2) Emmett Till”s dad was hanged while serving in the Army in Italy during WW2 for raping a white woman.

Not excusing an extra-judicial killing, just giving more context.

It's STARTING to make more sense, fall into the Trayvon/Gentle Giant/Jussie/Etc. etc pattern.

Carolyn Bryant testified that Emmett Till grabbed her wrist and later put his arm around her waist. Nothing about grabbing her ass and grinding on her, as if that justifies murder two days later in any case. Supposedly he said he had been with white woment before using an "unprintable" word which is now also in doubt. You can read her court testimony right here:

In 2016, she admitted she admitted that the she exaggerated the touching and the profane language, presumably to help the defendants escape justice. Her family later denied this, but of course they have reason to lie with people still interested in charging her all these years later.

Louis Till was executed when Emmitt was 4 years old and spent most of his son's life overseas. Whatever he did is completely irrelevant in any case unless you think rape runs in the blood.

In the interest of "context" it's worth pointing out Carolyn later divorced Roy on account of his “habitual cruel and inhuman treatment of her and of habitual drunkenness," which he did not dispute in court. That sounds to me like the type of guy who would coerce his wife to exaggerate in court to save his ass after he did something murderously stupid.

Just take the L and move on. This entire incident was an absolute disgrace to the South.
