An Internal Revenue Service analyst in San Francisco was the source of government records showing that Michael Cohen, when he was President Trump’s personal lawyer, funneled millions of dollars from foreign companies, as well as an alleged hush-money payment, into Cohen’s illegal shell company, federal prosecutors charged Thursday.

IMHO minor government functionaries get the idea that it’s okay to disregard the law in favor of what they perceive as matters of conscience by the example set when state and local government behaves contrary to drug and immigration laws. In Washington state, several county sheriffs are refusing to enforce a new restrictive gun law passed by initiative. The state AG publicly lectured them about not picking and choosing laws to enforce based on personal beliefs. The same AG is a supporter of sanctuary cities.

I have a friend that works ‘leak cases”. I was told that pretty much all of the leaks we’re seeing today are done strictly out of ideology. No money is taken nor favors granted. Basically, just blind hatred for anything/anyone on the Right or affiliated with the President.
