Venezuela is a Deep State trap. The successor to Maduro is a hard-core socialist thug too.

Maduro isn't the problem; socialism is. The U.S. should just recall is ambassadors and let Brazil and Colombia deal with them.

Very possibly Russian or Cuban expertise was used in the poisoning.

Why would Cuba assist in this..?

Cuz if Venezuela goes, Cuba will then have NO OIL.

Which means when Venezuela goes, you should keep watch on what happens in Cuba.

I think VP Pence is in Columbia right now.
I hope he brought his own food, drink and chefs with him.
Nothing is off the table when it comes to Socialism in the desperation of it’s death throes.

That's exactly what I'm saying.

As long as he's espousing socialism, he's merely going to be the meet the new boss/same as old boss guy.

yeah, well, back up sparkie Rubio - any ‘multilateral’ action needs to be from Columbia, Brazil, Mexico, etal, not the USA. They need to keep this in the ‘hood and us out of it.

You’re obviously not following the news. Colombia is very involved, as are the other countries. Brazil has a new conservative government, and even though the Mexican president is a Socialist, he’s not pro-Maduro and regards VZ as the big regional problem, not in the least because it represents Cuba, which has long been trying to get its hooks into Mexico.

The US would probably have to be involved, but it’s about time. One of the factors behind the “migrant” invasion is that Cuba and VZ make a lot of their money off of people and drug smuggling to the US, and they (aided by Soros money) are big players in creating the destabilization that enables these “caravans.” This is a security matter for the US as well.

I don't understand why the protesting Venezuelans are not using Molotov cocktails against the police.

They were highly effective in the Ukraine.

It is difficult to find any Latin American leader who is not some sort of statist or has collectivist views. It goes with the Spanish colonial inheritance. Thankfully the British didn't pay a lot of attention to the internal life of the American colonies. Ironically Gen Pinochet was the closet thing to a libertarian free market leader in Latin American history.

“Venezuela is a Deep State trap. The successor to Maduro is a hard-core socialist thug too.”

“Are you saying that Juan Guaidó is no better than Maduro?”

“Who’s On First?” In trying to make heads or tails of Juan Guaidó, how to factor Leopoldo López? Understanding that Guaidó’s title is “interim-president”, is he simply fronting for López?

Currently under house arrest, López had been imprisoned by Maduro?

In a recent news report, Guaidó indicated he was in frequent - if not daily - contact with López. And López might decide to run for president. And somewhere biding equal time is the now not so vocal Lilian Tintori, wife of Leopoldo López.
