JUNEAU — Gov. Mike Dunleavy has abolished Alaska’s climate change strategy commission and has removed a procedural roadblock for several major construction projects, including the Knik Arm Crossing.
Administrative Order No. 309, issued Friday, rescinds seven orders issued by former Gov. Bill Walker, including one from Oct. 31, 2017, that established the state’s climate change strategy and the Climate Action for Alaska Leadership Team. That team drafted a climate change policy and formally submitted it to the governor’s office in September. The plan has not been implemented.
The governor’s office sent letters to the climate change team on Friday saying their work for the task force “has ended.” The state website for the team, including the draft strategy it created, has been removed. The developments were first reported by Alaska Public Media on Saturday.

Dunleavy is for real; going to cut spending. Our problem is so many of our repub legislators are turning into democrats day after they get elected; unbelievable. They don’t want to cut spending. WE don’t have state taxes up here and want to keep it that way. We need viable real deal repub candidates.
It’s good to see a change like this & a new governor really using his head. Molly needs to go out & seek honest work now. By the way, what was the actual work of this climate change group other than collecting salaries & figuring new ways to tax the folks of Alaska?
Everything the left does is a scam. They can’t appeal to you factually so they have to go to extremes to push their false agendas, and sadly a good many people are believing what they say. In a sane world AOC and Comrade Sanders would not be taken seriously at all!

If the earth was truly endangered by global warming, would the committees, initiatives and all the rest of the bureacratic putzing around really have the remotest chance of saving us? Of course, when it doesn’t happen, the pop can recyclers and “ride your bike to work weeks” will get the credit.

I just cannot fathom the thought process of anyone who thinks “they” can do something about climate change. Only One can change the climate and He’s not going to change what He put together at the beginning of time.
