Russian TV lists potential nuclear strike targets in US after Putin warning
FoxNews.com ^ | Feb 26, 2019 | Edmund DeMarche | Fox News

Russian state TV on Sunday listed potential targets in the U.S. in the event of a nuclear strike and claimed that its new hypersonic missile technology could reach them in less than five minutes.

Reuters called the report “unusual even by the sometimes bellicose standards of Russian state TV.” The targets included the Pentagon and Camp David. The report came days after Russian President Vladimir Putin warned the U.S. against deploying intermediate-range missiles in Europe. ..."

The Guardian reported that other U.S. sites included Maryland’s Fort Ritchie, McClellan air force base in California and Jim Creek naval communications base in Washington state.

Something that’s not often talked about in regard to Obama’s statement...”this is my last election”. Notice how it’s a definitive statement? Not, “if I win the election”, “after my election, I have more flexibility”. The fix was in.

I have no doubt the Russians helped Obama get elected.

“Why are we still paying the Russkis to take American astronauts into space?”

Because Congress foolishly allowed NASA to cancel our only manned flight program before its replacement was in place and ready to fly. Same as they did 40 years ago. And NASA felt it had to cancel the Shuttle before it could start work on its replacement because Congress had starved the Shuttle program in the first place, providing only enough funding for a fraction of the Shuttle fleet originally planned, and none for replacing the Shuttles that were lost. There was no sign that Congress, or either the Bush or Obama administrations, would provide funding for the development of a new manned space vehicle as long as the Shuttles were operating.

It’s almost as if the politicians don’t want a space program at all.

Feb 9, 2017:

Exclusive: In call with Putin, Trump denounced Obama-era nuclear arms treaty [New Start Treaty] - sources

By Jonathan Landay and David Rohde

February 9, 2017

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - In his first call as president with Russian leader Vladimir Putin, Donald Trump denounced a treaty that caps U.S. and Russian deployment of nuclear warheads as a bad deal for the United States, according to two U.S. officials and one former U.S. official with knowledge of the call.

When Putin raised the possibility of extending the 2010 treaty, known as New START, Trump paused to ask his aides in an aside what the treaty was, these sources said.

Trump then told Putin the treaty was one of several bad deals negotiated by the Obama administration, saying that New START favored Russia. ...”

NATO head: Trump's tough talk has added $100B to alliance, helped deter Russia

FoxNews.com ^ | Jan 27, 2019 | Gregg Re | Fox News

"President Trump has been very clear," Stoltenberg told fill-in host John Roberts.

"He is committed to NATO. He stated that clearly just a few days ago and also at the NATO summit in July.

But at the same time, he has clearly stated that NATO allies need to invest more. And therefore at the summit in July last year, we agreed to do more to step up -- and now we see the results."

In all, Stolenberg continued, "by the end of next year, NATO allies will add hundred – 100 billion extra US dollars toward defense. So we see some real money and some real results. And we see that the clear message from President Donald Trump is having an impact."

In July 2018, NATO leaders pledged their “unwavering commitment” to boost defense spending, following stern words from the president. The U.S. and European allies signed a declaration stating they were “committed to improving the balance of sharing the costs and responsibilities of alliance membership.”

The Leftist snowflakes share many of the same views and positions as Russia, including Russia’s continuing arming and support of Leftist regimes throughout the world: Cuba, Venezuela, Nicaragua, North Korea...

See my earlier post on this issue.

You have a real soft spot for KGB Putin. I remember you on the Russia threads. Trump must be driving you nuts. You and your pals here thought he would be a friend to Moscow.

McClellan AFB is a target? I wonder why? The only things there, are a commissary and a medical facility. Nothing else is there.

It appears the left coast and lower New England would be hit hardest, if I’m reading their map correctly.

No one wants to see nuclear war. But if this scenario played out, most of our leftists would be taken care of.

All Presidents for life are homos. Including Fruity-Pute, but Russia is the least of our problems. They’re problem #76 in the grand scheme of things.

I doubt the video accurately represents the Russian Federation's current plans or thinking. More likely it was put together by a faction of hardliners who don't agree with Putin's response to Western encroachment. My guess is that the video relies on outdated information which was either declassified or leaked.
