That’s the point. This loathsome fiend has been an eyewitness to the suffering of this family for years and years. He likely took pleasure from it.
My issue is the overvaluation of “closure”. The dear girl has been dead for 22 years. Would retrieving her bones and having a funeral really matter? It wouldn’t to me.
Knowing this child killer is dead and gone, rather than living out his life in prison likely fantasizing every day about what he did to this child, is the only meaningful closure that really matters.
It would matter to me. Taking control back from him of the remains would definitely matter to me. I would want my child back.
I would always wonder and worry that he didn’t kill her and passed her off to a pedophile trafficking ring, no matter how unlikely.

Pedophile, child rapist, killers, like this monster have NO conscience. There is nothing in them to want to respond in any sympathetic way. I guarantee he was claiming innocence till the life was beaten and choked from him. He was NEVER going to give up the location of the remains. These predators will go to the grave hoping to fool someone to their last breath into believing them and releasing them to victimize one last victim.
Oh, I think you are totally right, but it would still eat me up, that he took it to his grave.
Too bad they couldn’t waterboard him for the info.
I would have no issue water boarding this loathsome monster.
