alks between President Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un wrapped up significantly earlier than expected on Thursday, and the White House announced that no agreement had been reached between the leaders.
A planned signing ceremony set for Thursday afternoon in Hanoi, Vietnam, was scrubbed, and Trump was set to take the stage within minutes for a solo press conference.
"No agreement was reached at this time, but their respective teams look forward to meeting in the future," White House press secretary Sarah Sanders said in a statement.

Twitter is celebrating Trump’s failure and praising cohen for being able to derail Trump. This is what we are up against, sad.
We agree to disagree.
Oh well. No vodka for you!
Twitter is Troll Central, and not worth your time. Most of the fools on Twitter will be the first to catch a bullet when CW2 begins.

Wow, that was the most civil press conference I have ever seen Trump allowed to have.
I think they were in shock!
I know I am
Right, downright refreshing to have good questions from real reporters. Unlike the smarmy jerks here in Wash DC.
Check out nbc news, they are saying Trump geave ol kimmy a pass on Otto Warmbier. as if Trump had nothing to do with his release. These are nasty people we are dealing with.
What do you think the Norks are feeling and Xi. Sure puts a lot more pressure on the trade negotiations now doesn’t it.
A lot of the world: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_3PUu88nOcw
Well, I’m pretty confident that when China caves during trade negotiations, the Norks will realize their Sugar Daddy has his own problems. When that happens, it’ll be time for another summit.

Are you serious?! These people are mentally ill, not to mention unpatriotic.
I stayed up to hear the outcome. I was hoping for a signing ceremony, but we are still better off without Kim Jong-un shooting missiles everywhere. And he and Trump are talking, which is important. We shall see what the future brings.
Yes, nasty a-h*les. President Trump got Warmer released. While Obama did nothing, and President Trump mentioned Obama was useless in his 8 years, but nbc won't acknowledge that.
I think it's refreshing that President Trump can be Lucy pulling the football away from Charlie Brown (meaning Kim). Kim thought he would get a signed agreement, and President Trump said "not yet, we're not done!". We finally have a strong president that doesn't fold and give away the store like Obama did.
[These people are mentally ill, not to mention unpatriotic.]
Yes, that would be the Democratic Party.
I don’t know how anyone can stay in there, frankly.
What kind of evil fools celebrate stuff like this?
Democrats.
Kim hasn’t been lobbing missiles over Japan and threatening to nuke our West Coast and EMP our power and communications infrastructure, and has been playing nice. I would call that progress.
Sounds like this may be breaking down though. He may start testing again.
I guess Kim hasn’t heard of the Trump Curse. Oh, well. Like Will Rogers said, some people only learn by peeing on the electric fence for themselves.
This is a very good sign. A lesser man would have bent over backwards to get some kind of agreement, even if it meant giving away the farm, for the sake of the optics. Trump, like Reagan before him, is far too canny to allow himself to be used by the likes of Kim.
“Sure puts a lot more pressure on the trade negotiations now doesn’t it?”
This might be the justification to drop the hammer on the Chinese tariffs after all.
It seems like it is time for some increased leverage.
