Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) said her experience in the service industry helped her question Michael Cohen because it allowed her to hone her razor-sharp BS detector.
Thanks! Bartending + waitressing (especially in NYC) means you talk to 1000s of people over the years. Forces you to get great at reading people + hones a razor-sharp BS detector, she tweeted, responding to a compliment that questioned whether she really was a former bartender and not a former prosecutor. Just goes to show that what some consider to be unskilled labor can actually be anything but.

martinis anyone? Her specialty is BS with a socialist twist.. Just substitute bovine scat for the olives.
The BS detector only points away from her.

She’s like Bob McDermott. She won a district that is pure democrat. And she won the primary because the incumbent didn’t campaign, and roughly 12,000 people voted.
The only reason she’s “famous”, and I mean this sincerely, is because she’s comically entertaining. It’s why so many “old school” elected democrats are really trying to distance themselves from her comments and Republicans are shouting them from the rooftops.
If, for some reason, anythng she proposes actually sees the light of day, well, this country DEFINITELY deserves the fallout. :)
They live in NYS under Andy Cuomo, they don't know any better.
Good ol’ Hardscrabble Condo Sandy. She is going to pimp her barmaid days for all they are worth.
AOC stole other staff’s tips. She is a crook.

According to a food-server who worked with the former bartender at an East 16th Street taco and tequila bar, Flats Fix, on Cinco de Mayo 2017, the newly minted politician proved that when it came to divvying up the tips, collective ownership lost its appeal.
On the Democratic Socialist website, it says that Democratic socialists believe that both the economy and society should be run democratically to meet public needs, not to make profits for a few.
If profits for a few is what Ocasio-Cortez condemned when running against Joe Crowley, why would she begrudgingly throw $50 at a waitress and pocket $510 for herself? If the soon-to-be congressional contender was really against pay inequity, shouldnt the server she worked alongside have been given half of Alexandrias take?
The only explanation for pocketing 90% of the contents of the tip cup and doling out a pittance to a co-worker is that, deep down inside, people vs. money Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez considered herself the top 1% of Flats Fix and secretly believed that mixing Mayan Mules has more worth than schlepping fish tacos.
Wasnt it Ocasio-Cortez who said, The definition of Democratic Socialism to me, again, is the fact that in a modern, moral, and wealthy society, no American should be too poor to live? Is this the same woman who allegedly gave a waitress $50 for a nights work and kept $510 for herself?
The server was so shocked by the small amount of money she received that a complaint was registered with the management, who wrested another 50 bucks from Alexandrias tightfisted Democrat-Socialist hands.

She’ll nod to anything the idiot in front of her is saying when she’s trolling for “tips” ( or DNC campaign money ).
I must have missed it during her time yesterday. Did she serve him a beer and then flash a little cleavage before her first question???
She’s hilarious, Jim.
Census comes in 2020...it’s likely that both California and NY will lose two districts each. Someone will have to redraw the NY state map, and she’ll have to compete in 2022...against a standing NY city representative who lost their district.
I believe her. Bartenders get a lot of experience talking to lying a$$holes one on one.
2022? Isn’t her term 2 years (2020)?
