The Media and Michael Cohen Deserve Each Other

While President Trump was away on a diplomatic mission to Hanoi to negotiate a nuclear deal with Kim Jong Un, the media breathlessly turned its eye to Capitol Hill to hear from a sleazy disbarred lawyer.

The dueling news stories summed up the country’s two political movements. Republicans were trying to dismantle weapons of mass destruction, while Democrats were deploying weapons of mass distraction.

In Vietnam, President Trump was dealing with serious problems. In Washington D.C., Democrats and their media arm can’t imagine any problem more serious than Trump. Forget North Korean nukes, the true threat to Democrats and the media isn’t radiation, it’s viewership. What keeps CNN’s, MSNBC’s, the New York Times’ and the Washington Post’s bosses up at night is fear that Mueller might not deliver.

2014? The last five years have taken a toll. Cohen looked old and gray yesterday.

He reminds me of a low-talent lawyer I met years ago. He tried to impress and live above his means, and he eventually did things which got him into trouble. Cohen tried to play loose in a big-boy power player league and got squeezed.

The meme I saw said that Cohen was Hillary's lawyer and worked for the Clinton Foundation.

Remember the No Nukes concerts in the 80's? They were the brainchild of Jackson Browne and John Hall, lead singer of Orleans (Still the One) and my fmr Cong (NY11). They were done to "raise awareness" of the dangers of nuclear proliferation under the eeevil Reagan regime. Sting, U2, the Talking Heads, Pat Benetar, an up and coming Maddonna and anyone who was someone performed at these venues. Now that the madmen in Iran and N Korea have nukes of their own, maybe it's time to bring back these concerts to warn a new generation of the clear and present danger of a nuclear holocaust? ((((((crickets)))))) Funny how Then left think they're slick at how they pick and choose their battles.
