You'd think so, but the drug enforcement industry is huge with lots of money. In general I've found that the biggest supporters of the 'war on drugs' are profiting from it in one way or another.

“Should”. But, as you’ll note, they are PLENTY here on FR that L-O-V-E ‘em some Socialism/Fascism when it comes to their ‘pet peeves’ (SS/MediXYZ, [SOME] drugs, the ‘wall’...))
