Washington state Gov. Jay Inslee announced Friday that he is running for President, launching a bid in which he intends to make combating climate change the central rationale for his campaign.
Inslee announced the bid in a video made public on Friday. He is slated to hold a news conference in Seattle at a solar panel installer to expand upon his presidential announcement. He will be surrounded by friends, family and business owners who the campaign says have benefited from his climate policies in the state.
"I'm Jay Inslee and I'm running for president because I am the only candidate who will make defeating climate change our nation's number one priority," the governor says in a more-than-a-minute-long video that highlights his decades-long focus on climate change and compares tackling the issue to President John F. Kennedy's focus on going to the moon.

I live in the Seattle area and this area is full of brain dead liberals. It's really like a cult here because they spew the same ideas and can not defend those ideas if confronted. This area could change if the GOP had some balls and sent on some people in to challenge the traditional thinking. But instead the republicans retreat every time a deranged liberal dingbat screams.

I disagree. The climate change/extreme weather/global warming thing is all about control of the sheeple. Ayn Rand wrote that “They” will keep creating laws until everyone feels like they are criminals and will just behave to keep from being arrested and jailed in a re-education camp. This is the intent of the U.N. Of course the people on top will be rolling in the money, “They” are also interested in POWER and CONTROL. But, the sheeple must be controlled so they will not notice.

I live in WA. Watching Inslee, I call him Gov. Crazy Mouth. I need dramanine after watching all the directions his mouth takes. Odd speech impediment.
He’s a lightweight. Only one paper endorsed him when he first ran for Governor. The rest endorsed the Republican. He paid off the unions and the rest is history.
Climate change is his centerpiece policy.
