They know much about market forces, they just don’t care. Not only do they get to champion a “win”, the unemployment and misery it creates will bring more people to “The Cause”.

Liberals are so stupid. They always think people’s behavior won’t change with laws such as these. “People will still work just as hard when 70% of their income is redistributed”, “businesses will maintain the same hours and number of employees despite huge wage increases”, and on and on. It’s easy to do the math on laws like these if you don’t take human nature and running a business into account but the fact that they refuse to see their actions have consequences makes me think they are insane.
