This raises an interesting conundrum, however. I don't want the state or school usurping my parental rights AT ALL. If I choose to teach my child about Jesus, God, the 10 Commandments, Santa Clause, that the Broad Street Bullies are a national treasure even though they were all Canadian, or that the designated hitter rule should be declared unconstitutional, that is my right and get off my lawn.
By extension then, while I think it is madness to do what they intend on doing, I would NOT argue for state intervention....
...but ridicule is fair game.
