Pence rips 2020 Democrats as ‘socialists,’ threat to freedom.....

Pence said, “Under the guise of Medicare for All and a Green New Deal, Democrats are embracing the same tired economic theories that have impoverished nations and stifled the liberties of millions over the past century. That system is socialism.”

He added: “We know where socialism leads. You want socialism, just look at Venezuela. Venezuela was once one of the richest and most vibrant democracies in the Western Hemisphere, but under Maduro’s socialist rule, it has become one of the poorest and most despotic. Today, more than 9 out of 10 people live in poverty.”

Pence singled out Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., and referenced supporters of the Green New Deal proposed by Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y.

“Remarkably, a leading candidate for the Democratic presidential nomination is an avowed socialist. And it’s not just him. Bernie’s been joined by a chorus of candidates and newly elected officials who have papered over the failed policies of socialism with bumper-sticker slogans and slick social-media campaigns,” warned Pence.

“It was freedom, not socialism, that gave us the most prosperous economy in the history of the world. It was freedom, not socialism, that ended slavery, won two world wars, and stands today as a beacon of hope for all the world. It was freedom, not socialism, that is moving us beyond the prejudices of the past to create a more perfect union and extend the blessings of liberty to Americans of every race and creed and color. It was freedom, not socialism, that gave us the highest quality of life, the cleanest environment on earth, and improved the health and well-being of millions around the world,” he said.

Sadly, I think Pence’s message goes right over the heads of those he is trying to persuade. The term socialist has become such a part of the vernacular that it has lost its sting. The mis-educated and indoctrinated millennials don’t know or care what “socialism” means, they just want free stuff.

Hey look...if a candidate promised your education wouldn’t cost a dime, and all who had previous college (including parents) college loan debt would be forgiven...which is in the thousands....you’d be mighty tempted to pull the lever to be free of that debt.

Bascially pushing anything ‘free’ or forgiven is ‘paying for votes’...and that’s what the Dems are offering.

We have a country that does not teach the true face of Socialism and Communism. These kids only know what the propaganda cabal indoctrinates them with. The left doesn’t even hide it anymore because they think they have 60 million true believers. Pretty scary stuff.

Progressives of both Parties are showing their allegiance to an ideology which has been attempting to replace those ideas of Creator-endowed rights, liberty and individual freedom embedded in America's Declaration of Independence and protected by its 1787 Constitution to limit power in government.

The ideas of America's founding period and its first many decades of existence were essential to individual liberty, as well as the explosion of opportunity, creativity, productivity and plenty--all of which were shared with oppressed peoples all over the world.

The ideas of the Liberal/Progressive movement since the late 1800's have brought America backward to the Old World ideas from which the Founders had escaped. The ideas of liberty need to be rediscovered and embraced for the protection of posterity.

Socialism, incorporated into the Progressive ideology is a losing path for any nation in the world. Only freedom for individuals is a worthy goal, and individual freedom cannot be found in the ideology of socialism, for it demands allegiance to the elites who implement its demands.
