.... not to mention lousy food, lousy weather, and depressing movies. They always had a notoriously High suicide rate, it makes sense that they want to commit mass suicide as a nation. I had the Good Fortune of traveling to Europe several times during the early 70s, when Europe was still Europe. Scandinavia was by far the most depressing place we visited.

My inlaws were world travelers. I remember their all time favorite place was Denmark. Visited sometime between mid 70s to mid 80s.
