"he was an American patriot who gave everything for his nation in war and peace."Well riddle me this Mr Author. Would we have ever known his name if not for naval nepotism, because weren't the rules, wash out 2 airplanes and you are retired from flight status to fly a desk? My guess is he would have gotten a job in logistics or something where mechanical things wouldn't get destroyed give I think his total was 4 or 5 wrecked aircraft. He may have never been a household name if his Dad and Grandfather weren't admirals.
