I was hoping that Rand Paul was growing up, but I was wrong. He can’t tell the difference between the emergency that Obama used and the one Trump is using. Obama could have gotten a deal with the GOP if he tried, Trump can’t get anything from the Democrats.
While that may be a guiding principle in general, its application in this regard results in a very twisted outcome. That is a surprise coming from someone with Rand Paul's education and background.
Criticizing the use of a ED that seeks politically unattractive results is one thing, criticizing use of ED that seeks to effectively respond to national security threats is quite a different thing. Especially by a member of the president's party - talk about being an honest officeholder!
Rand must be too stupid to understand that there is a vast difference in signing an EO out of whole cloth and signing a Congressional statute into operation.
