WASHINGTON (Reuters) - North Korea has restored part of a rocket test site it began to dismantle after pledging to do so in a first summit with U.S. President Donald Trump last year, while Trump’s national security advisor warned that new sanctions could be introduced if Pyongyang did not scrap its nuclear weapons program.

South Korea’s Yonhap News Agency and two U.S. think tanks reported on Tuesday that work was underway at the Sohae Satellite Launching Station at Tongchang-ri, even as Trump met with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un at a second summit in Hanoi last week.

So now the world can see, what we knew going into the second summit. Baby Kim needs to get rid of some of his war generals before he ends up like a crispy duck.

I’m getting the gut feeling it’s time to take out this rat in NK. He is starving and killing the people of NK. They need new leadership; preferably the type elected by a fair and open national election. Not another dicktaster.

I would not be that shocked if John Bolton decided to leave the Trump Administration later this year. It’s been about one year since he joined. I don’t think Bolton feels properly utilized. My speculation is that he had expected to be advising the president on several hot wars by now.
Mr. Trump is consistantly saying that he wants to pull us out of so many unending wars. I agree 1000%, were that mathematically possible.

I’m not sure Kim is shooting straight with us.

Trump and his team may have gotten a feel for it. I just don’t know. Not sure if anyone can actually know for sure what the dynamics are.

I think we all had held out hope that Kim would come to his senses, but it was a long shot. Lets face it.

In time we may have to simply take out Kim’s military assets.

When we do, China and Russia are going to be compelled to react.

We are doing the best we can. We have no idea what is just ahead, but I think Trump and his team have done as much as anyone could do.

If it fall apart, we’re at war.

We could have been two years ago.

We tried to avoid it.

I’m glad we did.

I don’t know.

We will likely find out pretty quickly whether we have any sort of backchannel negotiations going on.

I sure hope so. The alternative is not good.

I agree with that.

The one thing we can all agree on, is that the there is incredible potential for downside in the short term.

China is making moves too. I don’t like seeing that right now.

I think they are trying to set up a choke point in the South Eastern Pacific.

We should swoop in and put the kibosh to that.

This is where the dems screwed us with the Russia, Russia, Russia thing. It would be nice, to be able to say to the Kremlin, wanna have some target practice on a certain facility? An act NK would NOT respond militarily to. WE might be able to get Germany to play go-between, Merkel has the hots for Putin obviously, but she’s a coward at the same time.

Korean low-orbit sats are a danger.

They could be EMP devices that could detonate when passing over US.

I have no actual knowledge of this but I strongly suspect the X-27B is used to check these sats for neutron emissions.

To shield the neutron emissions would require a thick covering of water...the hydrogen in water is what blocks neutrons....they could not orbit something so heavy.

When the Soviet Union fell, we missed a great opportunity to lend a helping hand to Russia and develop better relations with its leaders.

When the terrorists attacked the school at Belsen, we should have made a great big deal about their loss. We made some cosmetic comments almost ignoring it.

We could have solidified the people of Russia as our friends by handling that situation better. We missed a once on a lifetime opportunity.

We allowed Putin to kind of languish on the vine, almost like a third world leader. It would’t have cost us much to involve in him some meetings to allow him to feel like he wasn’t being looked down to.

We didn’t have to go crazy over it, but we could have recognized him and let him save face. We didn’t.

Then Russia reached out to China. It could have been reaching out to us instead. We didn’t facilitate that. That was a massive error. Here are are now, and we’re paying for it.

I agree with you. If we had cultivated a relationship with Putin, we could have let him play the hero at this moment. Instead he’s cozened up to our enemy.

It’s sad how we mismanaged all this.

We could have given Russia some trade. We could have helped it’s people more.

Russia is now tied to China.

Well, it is what it is.

This does not mean I don’t understand that Putin is ex KBG, and a threat. It’s still better to keep him close than in your enemy’s camp.

I am ok with a kinetic strike on any and all NK military facilities or the real CIA doing its job and eliminating him in deplorable glorious fashion.

Maybe we should force regime change with the military option then in every country that has a dictator.

They wouldn’t have to send up the satellite filled with water at the same time. They could do one, then the other.

Yep! When the Soviet Union fell I was really hopeful. Help them set up some business training, trade, etc. Bush Sr. and Clinton sure dropped the ball on that.

I know several US firms tried to make some headway, but by the time they were allowed in the Russian mob was already in big time and had a lot of control. Just our firms on their own wouldn’t have been able to make it.
