I think that’s probably true for all but Rand Paul.

Paul is a purist; the power of the purse is given to Congress, so this statute is on tenuous Constitutional footing (in thi s circumstance) is his purist argument. He would require something like a nuclear war, not something we’ve been living with since Ted Kennedy opened our borders wide.

Rand’s position is not irrational; I just disagree with the Rand on whether this is an emergency.

I, like you, think it is.

I agree the law itself is on shaky constitutional ground, but it exists and Trump is following it. Congress is the problem here. They pass all sorts of laws that give the administrative state way to much flexibility.
