Former Donald Trump lawyer Michael Cohen lied to Congress about a Trump Tower project in Moscow and he's going to jail for it in a few months. So, "we shouldn't be surprised that he lied again" when he showed up to testify on Capitol Hill last week, Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) noted Friday on Fox News.
Democrats have been trying to find evidence against Trump that could be grounds for impeachment. Or at least it sure seems that way. But, as it's looking more and more like special counsel Robert Mueller's report is going to say there's not one shred of evidence to prove the Trump campaign colluded with Russia, "now they've got to do something else," Jordan observed. And that something else is Cohen.
Besides calling the president a "racist" and a "con man," the witness didn't exactly provide anything to suggest Trump was guilty of obstruction of justice. Cohen did, however, potentially further perjure himself. During his testimony, the lawyer said he never desired a job in the White House nor did he ask Trump for a presidential pardon. Others remember differently.
"It blew up in their face," Jordan said. "He came in here and lied again."
That's something the president is reminding folks about too.
Bad lawyer and fraudster Michael Cohen said under sworn testimony that he never asked for a Pardon. His lawyers totally contradicted him. He lied! Additionally, he directly asked me for a pardon. I said NO. He lied again! He also badly wanted to work at the White House. He lied!
Still, other Democrats like House Judiciary Chairman Jerry Nadler (D-NY) are using a different route in their anti-Trump crusade. Nadler sent 81 letters to individuals and groups associated with Trump as the panel launches an investigation into whether the president abused his power.
Jordan noted that there are two people Nadler didn't send a letter to: Christopher Steele, the former British spy who wrote the unverified and salacious Russia-Trump dossier, and Fusion GPS co-founder Glenn Simpson, who provided it.
. @RepJerryNadler launches a massive fishing expedition, sends 81 letters to over 60 people.
But he didnt include the 2 most important people:
-Glenn Simpson (who Clinton paid for the Dossier)
-Christopher Steele (the foreigner Glenn Simpson paid to write the Dossier)
Cohen is a “honorary woman”
We are suppose to believe every allegation by him against an conservative Republican.
Hillary said so.....
Liars lie. Con men con.
Actually, the whole thing was a failure. He was willing to lie, to attack Trump with ad hominems, but he was not willing to say anything really useful.
Did Trump ask you to lie? No. (He doesn’t have to ask you to lie, blah blah blah...)
Did Trump collude with Russia? No. (Well, I wouldn’t use the word “collude” blah-blah-blah...)
Does Trump beat his wife? No. Unthinkable. That would never happen.
Did you go to Prague? No.
So, in the end, they got nothing except a plea from Cohen to please, don’t harm his family. Its obvious he didn’t have anything to say useful to harm Trump, and he wasn’t really willing to fabricate anything, because if he had anything, he wouldn’t be headed to prison right now. Even with Schiff and company trying to orchestrate his testimony, he still had nothing useful to offer. So, its off to prison he goes.
It appears Nadlers subpoena list of Trump family, friends and associates was compiled under suspicious circumstances.
How would Nadler know all the Trump people...unless he was stalking them, their whereabouts, and their activities.
Stalking is a crime if carried out on anyone........
Cong Jim Jordan and the rest need to ask:
<><> how, when, where, and why Nadler compiled the list .....
<><> why did he pull it out only when he got subpoena power.
<><> what did Nadler intend to do with the list IF he had not gotten subpoena power?

I bristle when I hear things like “it blew up in their face”. That’s a good one.
Dems can do anything, say anything, and there are no consequences. If by blew up in their face, he means it just didn’t work and they’ll try something else. Yeah, it blew up in their face.
“It blew up in their face,” Jordan said. “He came in here and lied again.”

Then do something about it.
he absolutely wanted a job in the campaign and when that didn’t happen, he insisted on a job in the new admin. And when he saw that wouldn’t happen, he used the excuse of buying Stormy’s story as a way to set up Trump behind his back - for revenge. Because that is how slimy he is.
I agree. I’m sick of these posts that tell us what we know, but tell us nothing about what anyone is going to do with these maggots.
Schiff is a meely mouthed gossipy wimp. Trump should never give in to him or Nadler.
Jordan and Meadows did refer charges to DOJ on Cohen after his testimony.
Publically admitting to prepping for 10 hours in pencil neck’s chambers did not help. A court would call this witness tampering!
Exactly.
Well he’ll soon be somebody’s bitch.
Hero, "Fatman" jerry nadless, hysterically rants about stolen russian style hot dog.
That’s what Nunes called it this morning! He actually called it “witness tampering.” Good for him. Now if only something were done about it.
How about calling in Carter Page? Why no prosecution for his supposed work as a Russian agent that posed such threat to the US?
bkmk
Shifthead will probably use the excuse that it wasn’t a court of law, so there is no such thing as “witness tampering”.
