Bible in a Year: Deuteronomy 1113; Mark 12:127
The Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost. Luke 19:10 Today's Scripture & Insight:
On February 18, 1952, a massive storm split the SS Pendleton, a tanker ship, into two pieces about ten miles off the Massachusetts coast. More than forty sailors were trapped inside the ships sinking stern in the midst of fierce winds and violent waves.
When word of the disaster reached the Coast Guard station in Chatham, Massachusetts, Boatswains Mate First Class Bernie Webber took three men on a lifeboat to try to save the stranded crew against nearly impossible oddsand brought thirty-two of the seemingly doomed sailors to safety. Their courageous feat was deemed one of the greatest rescues in United States Coast Guard history and was the subject of the 2016 film The Finest Hours.
In Luke 19:10, Jesus declared His own rescue mission: The Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost. The cross and the resurrection became the ultimate expression of that rescue, as Jesus took on Himself our sins and restored to the Father all who trust Him. For 2,000 years, people have embraced His offer of abundant life now and eternal life with Him. Rescued!
As followers of Jesus we have the privilege, with the Holy Spirits help, to join our Savior in the greatest rescue mission of all. Who in your life needs His rescuing love?
How have Gods rescuing ways affected you? What will help you effectively share His rescue plan with others?
Greetings to all at the Canteen!
To all our military men and women, past and present,
THANK YOU
for your service!
Howdy, Kathy.
Did you get a nice, LONG sleep last night?
I wish they’d leave the time alone. Let things run the way nature intended!
The Spring time change really kicks my butt. LOL
WOOHOO! SO nice to see you back!
Hi Everybody!
((((HUGS))))
And a wonderful “Good evening” to you, Mayor. A Blessed Lord’s Day to you and yours.
Hope you have had a wonderful and “continuing to heal” day.
How are you fixed for weather? Snow? Cold?
We have topped 40 today and the forecast for at least the next week is breakup temps: pushing 40 during the day and high 20s at night.
I just finished setting all my clocks ahead, so now it’s an hour later than it just was.
So good to be back, long way to get back, very weak.
Weather seems to be making a change, spring soon? Not sure.
Blessed Lords day to you all.
Good evening, radu, and a Blessed Lord’s Day to you and yours.
Has the rain hit? Any good lightning to lessen the depression?
Break up weather here, altho I can’t believe it might really be here...too early.
Just take it easy and push in small increments. You’ll get your strength back before you know it. You had a rough month or so!
Some good home-cookin’ to chow down on will help a lot. :-) Hospital food isn’t very appealing.
LOL! The rain has been hitting since yesterday and now we’re dealing with nasty storms. I stepped outside to watch a little bit of a light show and came back in when the wind knocked me to my knees. Then the power blipped and knocked out the TV and internet. The modem just reset itself and we’re good to go .... for now.
I have some nifty handy-dandy little lights sitting on the desk should the power get knocked out. :-)
It does seem a little early for breakup weather up there but with the way things have gone this winter, who knows?
But I spent all morning on paper patrol. Found a bunch of letter trays in the garage..set them up and started on all the paperwork from the floor after the earthquake. What a huge pile of paper...but I started!
One day at a Time, Dear FRiend. We are all still praying for you. :-)
I will be so glad when it is Spring!

Howdy, LUV.
How are things down your way? Was the weather more suitable for the kittehs’ pleasure?
Been a crazy day here. Rain and wind, then storms and strong wind. It’s almost over but not quite.
Good evening, ML...((HUGS))...and a Blessed Lord’s Day and Shavua Tov to you and yours.
Anything positive with your weather?
We seem to have a week of break up weather....pretty early in the season.
YAY! That’s a lot of sleep for you! Bet it felt good.
You need to do it again tonight and tomorrow night since it sounds like another rough week ahead.
Sounds like you had a busy day dealing with all that paperwork. Great that you found all those letter trays to put the papers in. Gives you incentive to delve into that part of the clean-up.
I know what it’s like to NEED incentive to deal with a mess. LOL!
