You can’t argue with crazy, instead impose upon it civilized stsndards. The civilized world says it’s a crime. Islam says it’s not a crime for Muslims to do against nonmuslims. The question is “Which is today’s legitimate law, the law of a civilized nation or the law of a 7th century criminal-war lord?
If the sham marriage was never consummated, and was established solely for reasons of immigration fraud, Islam probably considers it garden variety identity fraud against the infidels. Therefore, no problem.
