In 1932 in Germany the unpopular Weimar Republic was under siege by the right and the left. While the economy of Germany then was in free fall, it's different in 2019 America. But what the parallel is that a new movement and a new face was on the scene, Hitler and the Nazis. And two wily old power brokers, Hans Frick and Franz Von Papen bought this new, loud mouthed upstart into the halls of power, convincing a tired and doddering old fool from a bygone era, Field Marshall Paul Von Hindenburg that Hitler was the right man to save Germany and that they could control him. Never in history had there been a greater miscalculation. Well, AOC is the new fresh face and Pelosi and Schumer thought they could control her. It's going to be interesting to see how this plays out. I hope the nation can survive it.
