Fired FBI counterintelligence agent Peter Strzok agreed to become part of special counsel Robert Muellers team because he believed taking part in an investigation that resulted in POTUS Donald Trumps impeachment would look good on his record and result in a promotion, according to congressional testimony by his one-time lover.
According to recently released transcripts of her testimony before the House Judiciary Committee, former FBI lawyer Lisa Page said initially Strzok expressed some reservations about joining Muellers team because if the investigation didnt produce anything actionable, it might delay his upward mobility within the FBI.
In response to questions from Rep. John Ratcliffe (R-Texas), Page described Strzoks reasoning: If this is going to fizzle out and be nothing, then I shouldnt sort of sacrifice my sort of long-term career prospects. If its going to end in impeachment, thats kind of a big deal. I mean, put aside who it is, put aside how we feel about it. You know, thats monumental.

strzok was correct in his assumption the investigation would delay his upward mobility.

Destroying a President to get a stinking job promotion. Todays FBI.
All these people need to be tried, convicted, and imprisoned. Although Id prefer to see hangings.

One thing that came through from the thousands of Strzok email and texts - he was a bureaucratic climber and politician.
One would think that as FBI “head of counter-intelligence” he would actually be out trying to catch spies.
Instead, his non-stop texting and emails were like a high-school gossip blog. Constant comments about what others in the bureaucracy were saying, what other people at other agencies were doing, colleagues reactions to events. “Andy said this” or “Bob felt this way.” Childish.
I suppose that is the case with all large bureaucracies.
“All these people need to be tried, convicted....”
Screw that. It’s a waste of court time. Give them a quick lead injection and be done with it.
I’m going out to do some target practice after hearing this chit.
Hopefully Strzok will end up somewhere in the African Continent while working for the C_A being eatin by Cannibal s or getting a solid case of Ebola.
Scumbag Strzok joined Mueller team to use Trump impeachment as promotion vehicle
How’s that workin’ out for him?
That was my reaction, too. Spyhunter!? Hard to imagine him doing serious work.
