Exclusive — President Donald Trump: Paul Ryan Blocked Subpoenas of Democrats

President Donald Trump is not happy that former House Speaker Paul Ryan blocked subpoenas of people and entities Trump thinks the House GOP should have been investigating during the first two years of his administration.

Trump told Breitbart News in an exclusive lengthy Oval Office interview that Ryan blocked issuance of subpoenas to people he thinks should have been investigated on the political left, and now that the Republicans no longer have the majority in the House, people Trump says Ryan protected may have gotten away with whatever they did that warranted investigation.

Trump said that House Freedom Caucus Chairman Rep. Mark Meadows (R-NC) and his predecessor and fellow conservative Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) wanted to be tougher with the left, but that Ryan would not let them.

“Paul Ryan wouldn’t give the right to have any subpoenas,” Trump told Breitbart News. “Okay? Now in all fairness, Meadows and Jordan and all these guys, they wanted to go tougher, but they weren’t allowed to by leadership.”

Trump’s comments came in a wider part of the conversation about how the left is more “vicious” than the right—and that the left in American politics plays “cuter and tougher.”

I thought he was a weasel but not until the past few years did I know he was a POS traitor.

Oh but he’s a good Catholic, he says.

I’m half a good Catholic so that means you go after the party of death every chance you get.

And don’t support women getting raped/murdered on a treacherous trail to a country they don’t belong to.

Ryan was compromised. It was always obvious. As was Boehner before him. As are a goodly number of Repubs at the top.

Gosh.

It’s almost like Paul Ryan was a Democrat secretly pretending to be a Republican.

Have you ever played one of those board games where you can collect cards to play any time later in the game to do damage to your opponents?

It’s as if Trump is that guy that has been collecting those cards for years and is just waiting for the right time to play each of those cards.

Lyin Ryan was continuing 0s destructive agenda.

It’s as simple as that.

And The Turtle too, although McConnell can sometimes be helpful on his ‘good days’.

I agree with you on McConnell but Ryan is POS.

Ryan was compromised.

**************

Or maybe just corrupt. Or perhaps both compromised and corrupt. Whatever, the GOP should have removed him long ago but many of them are also compromised and/or corrupt.

For some reason I'm reminded of something I heard during my brief tenure as a Howard Stern listener back in the 1990s.

Stern was talking to some A-A comic on the phone, the guy suddenly went off on an X-rated rant about one of his recent sexual experiences.

Howard Stern immediately cut him off, and then calmly explained as follows: "obviously (name) doesn't fully understand the constraints we operate under here on the radio."

It’s almost like the number of decent people in the greater D.C. area can be counted on one hand. And there may still be a couple of fingers left over. Heck, I’ve got a finger for Paul Ryan, but that’s another story.

So true. There were other options for Speaker but they let Ryan slither his way back into power.

This isn’t a Republican - Democrat thing.

It is a Political Class vs. Common Citizens thing.

Both parties are fat and happy living elite, rich lifestyles by feeding off the wealth of the nation built by Common Citizens.

It is the entire Political Class that needs to be destroyed and replaced by a government of, by and for the people. Both parties need to cast upon the ash heap of history with extreme violence.
