An immigration enforcement advocacy organization finds it difficult to understand why the citizens of California continue to elect politicians who protect illegal immigrants who commit serious crimes like murder.

Authorities in Northern California are criticizing "sanctuary" policies they say prevented federal authorities from detaining a gang member in the country illegally before he allegedly killed a woman inside her home. An Associated Press report quotes the chief of police in San Jose saying Carlos Eduardo Arevalo Carranza stalked Bambi Larson's neighborhood before allegedly beating and stabbing her to death. Immigration and Customs Enforcement had previously asked to take custody of Carranza six times – four times in Santa Clara County and two times in Los Angeles County.

The Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) has argued for years that sanctuary policy is bad public policy.

I think ICE and the FBI have toll-free numbers you can call. You can even use your smart phone to call them.

Weld County of Colorado has become a Second Amendment sanctuary county. Not all sanctuaries are bad. I would also be wide open to a Freedom of Speech sanctuary.

One of the jobs of government is to protect the citizenry from crime, and criminals.

These people committing these crimes that are here illegally have already committed a crime getting here, therefore we should be protected by government from their criminal actions.

We shouldn’t be sitting here allowing a political party to benefit at our expense. That’s what is happening as the Democrats seek to legitimize these illegals for their benefit. New voters for the Democrat Party, therefore they are welcoming them at the expense of the citizenry for the gain of power for the political party.

It’s time to punish officials of “sanctuary” jurisdictions.

They’re felony harboring illegal aliens. It’s too bad we don’t have a DOJ to prosecute these scumbag demoncrats.
